Yes, our reception is prepared to help you out with anything 24 hours every day of the year. Our professional receptionists are ready to answer any question!
Generally speaking, check-in is available from 3pm. However, we know your travelling boots will be tired so we’ll let you check in as soon as your room is ready. You are welcome to store your bags in the luggage room or use the common facilities while you wait.
It’s hard to see you go but since you’ll be traveling on, we ask that you check out by 11am to make room for incoming guests. The lockers will still be at your disposal, of course.
If you book your accommodation here on the web, the breakfast and the City Tax are included in price.
Yes! Miss Sophie’s offers a buffet including fresh bread and rolls, meats, cheeses, yoghurt, muesli, fruits and vegetables. Gourmet coffee, a selection of teas and 100% fruit juice are also available. Breakfast is offered daily from 7:30 to 10:30 and is complimentary to your stay.
In every room, Sophie has prepared a TV, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities. You can keep your valuables in the safe. Toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers and towels are available for you in the bathroom. Air conditioning is available in all rooms.
The mighty Czech Koruna (or “crown”) or the even mightier Euro (at our current in-house exchange rate) are both accepted, as are credit/debit cards.
Yes, you can, but only during low seasons.
To do so, you need to confirm your booking with a bank transfer in advance. You can also make an unconfirmed booking, but in this case, we would like to ask you to confirm your arrival for two days in advance by phone or e-mail. It is also necessary to arrive by 3 pm or to confirm your arrival on that day. This option is not always available, so please contact us at newtown@miss-sophies.com or +420 210 011 200 and we will be happy to assist you.
If for any reason you need to change or cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible by e-mail at newtown@miss-sophies.com. We will process your request according to the conditions that apply to your booking.
For most of the year we have no minimum stay requirements, although on peak holidays – Easter and New Years Eve – there is usually a 3-4 night minimum stay.
Extended stays for more than 7 nights are only accepted with prior discussion. Please email us with your requirements.
Yes. If you require a letter of confirmation of your reservation with our official stamp and signature in order to apply for a visa, please allow up to 3 days for us to prepare this document. There is a non-refundable processing fee of 300 CZK and we require full non-refundable prepayment of your reservation. These payments are non-refundable in all circumstances. Please also note that we can only send these letters as a .pdf attachment via email. For the safety of our guests and their belongings we offer:
- card entry to all rooms and to the main door
- luggage storage with lockable lockers
- lockable safes in all rooms
- There is no 24H reception at Miss Sophie’s New Town, but the whole building is monitored with cameras
If you prefer a guarded parking, you can use the Ibis hotel parking only about 50 m from us for CZK 550 for 24 hours. Another security option, that can be arranged in advance, is through www.mrparkit.com.
The underground is open from 05:00 am to midnight. Depending on the day and time, the waiting time may be from 2 to 12 minutes. Day trams also operate from 05:00 am to midnight. In later hours, you can use a night tram or bus. Tickets can be purchased in yellow coin machines, tobacconists or at our reception:
- 24 CZK (30 minutes transfer ticket)
- 32 CZK (90 minutes transfer ticket)
- 110 CZK (24 hours transfer ticket)
The nearest underground and tram stop at Miss Sophie’s New Town is underground line C – I. P. Pavlova, and underground line B – Karlovo náměstí. Tram stops: Štěpánská and I. P. Pavlova.
Yes! We provide our guests with a free Miss Sophie’s map of Prague full of great useful information and recommendations of our favourite places to eat, do the shopping, walking and gaining experiences!
Prague is a city with many possibilities and activities! Besides the sights, there are exhibitions, live music and concerts, outdoor markets, festivals and sports events. Simply ask our colleagues.
